Ladybug Radio is a small privately owned company dedicated to providing over-the-air radio broadcasting that is informative, entertaining, and locally based.

We are three sisters, Candace Bacon, Christina Ogle, and Rebecca Bouldin, who have formed Ladybug Radio as our broadcast ownership company. Our dad has been in the radio broadcasting business our whole lives. As children, he was continually taking us along with him while he did his work. He would take us to the radio studios when he was on the air, or to live remote broadcasts at any number of businesses or events, and to mountain-top transmitter sites when he needed to repair some of the equipment or maybe install a new transmitter or antenna. We even spent four days snowed in at a radio studio with Dad and a couple of other radio deejays during the Blizzard of ’93. That was quite an adventure. We had lots of adventures while Dad was doing his radio work. We went to towers in cow pastures and up winding, narrow, scary mountain roads. We went to studios at all hours of the day and night, especially during thunderstorms, when something needed to be fixed. We went to live concerts, county fairs, and special events, and we often got to meet entertainers and celebrities. We still reminisce about those adventures we had while we were with Dad doing his radio work. Along with the adventures, we learned a lot about the radio broadcast business – how commercials are produced, how the music is selected, how news is gathered, how contests are done, how deejays do their thing, and much more. Now we have embarked on a radio adventure of our own. We created Ladybug Radio, LLC, to be owners of local radio stations providing service to our communities and hopefully having fun. This is our first endeavor into radio station ownership. Though we grew up around radio stations, we all chose different career paths, and in recent years we have had no daily contact with the radio business except as listeners. Now we have created Ladybug Radio, so let the adventures begin!
